💰 What is an NFT?
An NFT is a non-fungible token and is part of the Ethereum blockchain. But what does it mean? “Non-fungible” more or less means that it’s unique and can’t be replaced. Bitcoin, for example, is fungible — you can easily trade one for another bitcoin and get exactly the same thing. A one-of-a-kind artwork, however, is non-fungible.
NFTs are not only pictures though. In fact, it can be any digital item, but until we wait for more advanced technologies (how about uploading your brain to the cloud and turning it into an NFT?), everybody is mostly selling digital art.
