Everything you see in that video constitutes an NFT. The chair, the desk, the entire bunker including them can all be minted as NFTs and sent out to your wallet.
We have released two versions of the game, where you had to download the entire game fresh for both, but of course that can easily become a problem and it can get very annoying for anyone.
We don’t want to waste any more of our player’s time, or bandwidth, so we are proud to announce that this next update strives to solve all these problems, and help us get full control of the application and how we handle updates.
The Metalands launcher will be an application serving as a hub for downloading, updating, confirming the validity of files, as well as installing and starting the game. We are making sure it’s lightweight, straightforward, clean, and simple to use.
Using file hashing, the launcher will be able to compare local versions of game files on someone’s computer with the latest version that’s online, and fetch their differences. This allows the app to download only the files that actually change between two different versions, resulting in faster downloads. The launcher is built from the ground up, and uses our own API to function.
The first integration of NFTs in game, coming with update 0.0.2, are taking the form of bunker assets.
We will be releasing Bunker Assets as packs, each one following a particular theme. Starting with the “Standard Pack”, which will feature 10 NFTs, we will reward each Pre-Alpha donor with one of the pack’s assets on login. The rest will soon see light with the next updates.
At the same time, our 3D modeling team is already working on bunker asset packs featuring themes like cultures from around the world, different interior design styles and a lot more.
