It’s safe to say that 2021 will be remembered as the year in which NFTs officially took off. The NFT craze began with the growth of Ethereum based NFTs, such as BAYC and CryptoPunks. Acquiring one of these NFTs was a status symbol even amongst athletes & celebrities. Soon after, the demand for NFTs on alternative smart contract platforms began. It didn’t come as a shock that Solana, with much cheaper transaction fees, higher transaction throughput, and lower latency, was the first of these alternative blockchains to take a significant portion of the NFT market share from Ethereum. Although, just like CryptoPunks & BAYC on Ethereum, SolPunks & DegenApes on Solana didn’t do much for the network other than congest it a ton.
As a matter of fact, if you didn’t have prior knowledge of the minute details of each, you probably wouldn’t be able to differentiate between the NFTs of the two chains. That’s why when our artists began designing our Harmony Fins collection, we prioritized including designs that would help the Harmony blockchain gain more exposure if and when our community grows to a similar extent. But we didn’t stop there! We also included the designs of many Harmony native protocols that have decided to build on Harmony despite the plethora of alternative EVM chains to choose from. You builders have done so much for our small (not for long) community & this is our small way of giving back.
Harmony Fins is a collection of randomly generated NFTs composed of 7,000 unique dolphins. Each Dolphin has a unique face, body, outfit, & hat, but not all these accessories are the same. Each of these accessories displays the logo of a different Harmony protocol, including DeFi Kingdoms, Tranquil Finance, Artemis, Euphoria (WAGMI), and more! So whether you’re a questoooor or a yield foldoooor, you can mint an awesome dolphin & rep your favorite Harmony protocol at the same time!
