If you have not read my post on the latest NFT Marketplace from Asia called Pentas.io, you can read about it here.
As I was scrolling my Twitter homepage, I saw back to back tweets from Pentas NFT Observer that automatically shares on the latest piece sold. One that caught my attention was this particular tweet.
Being sold for 5 BNB? That is considered huge amount on Pentas.io. 5 BNB is $1916.25 and that converts to RM8013.76 (Malaysia local currency). That is quite a money! So I quickly check on the piece. And who bought it.
I really love the caption from the artist.
After checking several other artworks sold, I noticed that this whale is actually supporting female artists! On Womens’ Day! Hats off to you sir!
Congratulations to all the female creators that managed to get their artworks sold last night! I am sharing a few other artworks bought by the whale last night.
Exactly 87 piece of artworks was shopped by the whale. That is quite a shopping spree in one night! He actually supported 34 female artists in a single night.
I love how this guy did not need the attention. He never actually verifies his Pentas.io account, so it is not linked to any of his social media. Those who has been in the scene for a while would know his twitter page. He did not ask female artists to shill their arts for him to see, nor did he announce that he is going to support female artists beforehand. He just went his way on Pentas.io and started shopping until people noticed.
However, Pentas.io needs more recognition to attract more whales. Pentas.io simply cannot rely on the same whale to support the artists. Based on the arts I have shared above, you have seen how talented Pentas.io artists are!
Pentas.io is still growing, and there is a lot of room for improvement. Do not forget to check out Pentas.io if you are into NFT!
HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMENS’ DAY!
