Duration: March 29 to April 22, 2022
Winner Announcement: May 20, 2022
Official Link: akaSwap Page
Blockchain: Tezos
Event Objectives:
Earth Day, held every year on April 22, originated from promoting environmental protection on US campuses in the 1970s. This festival was initially set on the spring equinox because the sun would shine on both the North Pole and the South Pole at the same time, representing equality throughout the world, encouraging people to set aside their differences and coexist in harmony. Earth Day was also associated with Vietnam War protests in its early days.
Russo-Ukrainian War erupted in the beginning of 2022 and broke world peace. To support Earth Day this year, LIKE WATER thematized “Peach & Sustainability” and invited the public to express their feelings about the war with NFT, which would be permanently stored on the blockchain as historical witnesses. It was also the first year of LIKE WATER; it’s worth looking forward to more participants and excellent creations in the future.
