We have been thinking about that a lot, and decided to change our initial system for something that will bring more value to the collection.
At first, the lottery will have reward the holders with a certain amount of lottery ticket depending on the rarity of their NFT.
For exemple :
Common Divergent : 1 ticket/ week
Uncommon Divergent : 2 tickets/week
Rare Divergent : 3 tickets/week
Epic Divergent : 5 tickets /week
Legendary Divergent : 10 tickets/week
Every week, one lottery will have been setup with 5 winners, and every holder will have been able to use his tickets to join the game and have a chance to receive one of the prize.
In the new system, every NFT, whatever rarity or rank it is, will receive only 1 ticket per week.
There will be 5 different types of tickets, going from common to legendary, and holders will receive a ticket depending on the highest trait their NFT own. If you have 6 traits, all common, but 1 legendary, you will receive a legendary ticket.
We will then setup 5 different lottery. Each lottery will accept only 1 type of ticket.
We are still deciding how much of the royalties we want to allocate to the lottery, but for the exemple we will take 25%.
In that scenario, the lottery reward could be done like this :
Legendary lottery reward : 10% of the royalties
Epic lottery reward : 6% of the royalties
Rare lottery reward : 4% of the royalties
Uncommon lottery reward : 3% of the royalties
Common lottery reward : 2% of the royalties
That way, holding a rare, epic, or legendary Divergent NFT will be way more valuable, as the winning price at the weekly lottery is bigger, but also, the number of participant in your pool will be drastically smaller.
Also, the 1/1 will receive special treatment, as they are the rarest of all. We are still discussing about it, but we are thinking about giving them weekly, one or multiple tickets for every lottery pool.
