Back in 2010, one of the most famous transactions in the history of Bitcoin occurred when a programmer named Laszlo Hanyecz made what is often regarded as the first real-world purchase using Bitcoin. He paid 10,000 Bitcoins for two pizzas, which, at that time, had a relatively low value. This event has since become known as “Bitcoin Pizza Day” and is celebrated annually on May 22nd.

What message do you aim to convey through your project? —
There isn’t a specific message I intend to convey through my art. I craft my art within the context of a self-constructed narrative, an invented storyline. In this creative process, I employ various elements and a diverse array of tools to build layers. The resulting artwork is meant for enjoyment, inviting viewers to sit in front of it and contemplate. Stepping into the image signifies entering another world, temporarily disconnecting from the routine of everyday life.
The broader narrative surrounding “Absolution” serves as an additional layer of meaning within the artwork. I’m not seeking to preach or dictate a particular point of view. Instead, I aim to present what I’ve encountered on this creative journey — words and images that provide contemporary commentary. These reflections stem from the perspective of an artist navigating a world filled with AI-generated images and a parent raising children in a world rife with conflicts, where distinctions between right and wrong are muddied by the prevalence of misinformation. As a human being, I’m concerned about the myriad challenges I encounter daily, but I’m also filled with hope in the potential and creativity of the younger generation and in the beauty that humanity is still capable of creating
Are there upcoming phases or developments in Absolution?
The smart contract is prepared; it’s a token contract built on the ERC721A standard. The dedicated minting page is also prepared. Currently, I’m in the process of organizing some ABSOLUTION giveaways, and more information will be provided via X in the coming days. The Curate page will end on Oct 30th. Afterward, the finalized list of Ethereum addresses will be provided to the development team for inclusion. I’d like to extend special thanks to the developers Max and Jose from Neftyblocks.
What unique experience do you believe Absolution offers to its audience?
Whenever $PEPE reaches a specific price point, one of its layers will vanish, ultimately leaving only the two pulsing layers when $PEPE hits the value of 0.01 cent. Observing the decline of art due to the rise of a meme coin is an event in its own right. The twist in the story unfolds on May 22nd, 2026, when art will take the forefront, and the meme narrative will disappear.
