How I Created My First AI NFT Without Coding

If you’ve ever thought, “NFTs seem cool, but I have no idea where to start,” this guide is for you. I recently turned one of my AI-generated prompt cards into a fully minted NFT and I did it all without writing a single line of code. Here’s how.

I’m the author of AI for Everyone: Crafting Prompts Without Coding Skills, a book designed to help non-coders get the most out of AI tools like ChatGPT. As I was exploring ways to bring the book’s value to life, I had an idea:

What if I turned my AI prompt cards into digital collectibles?

Each card is a unique, hand-crafted prompt paired with AI-generated art, useful, creative, and now… ownable.

These prompt cards aren’t just pretty pictures. They’re designed to help people write content, brainstorm, and explore AI without being experts. Turning them into NFTs made sense for two reasons:

  1. Ownership: Anyone can collect or trade them.
  2. Utility: Each card has a real use, it’s a functional asset.

📄 Step 2: Create Metadata (JSON)

Next, I made a .json file for the NFT. It looks like this:

{
"name": "Prompt Card #1 - The Content Wizard",
"description": "Create engaging social media content in your tone. This card includes a prompt for AI tools like GPT to generate tailored post ideas.",
"image": "ipfs://<image-cid>",
"attributes": [
{ "trait_type": "Category", "value": "Content Creation" },
{…
