In the early days of Solana only a handful of NFT projects launched. There is some debate as to what project was the first to mint, but that debate ends when you look at transacions on the Solana blockchain. The first NFT to mint on Solana is this little alien called Marvin from the Kreechures project. It was created on March 26 2021.

That same day 41 more Marvins were minted and it was until the next day that a different type of kreechures was introduced. The new race started with this little alien called Cecil (The 52nd Kreechure minted).

Before the end of March a third variation was introduced with a Kreechure named Rufus. This is the #1Rufus minted on March 31st (The 250th kreechure minted).

A total of 308 kreechures were minted in March 2021, and in the early days of April 2021 three more types of Kreechures were introduced (George, Sam and Agustus). In total, 689 Kreechures were minted before the Second NFT Project (Solarians) started minting on the 7th of April. The distinction of being the first NFT of this project goes to this little guy: 286-W the Flippant
Both projects continued minting and in May they were joined by Sol Punks.
Sol Punks claims to be the First NFT project on Solana to mint out. Solana Monkey Business, Degenerate Ape Academy and DeGods were other notable projects that followed.
